EDITABLE PARAMETERS:
- mac - This list should contain the MAC addresses of the target machines you want to wake up. Each MAC address should be in the format 'XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX', where each pair of XX represents a hexadecimal number.
- ip - This list should contain the IP addresses of the target machines corresponding to the MAC addresses listed in the mac list. Each IP address indicates the destination where the Wake-on-LAN magic packet will be sent. The order of IP addresses should match the order of MAC addresses in the mac list.
Network Configuration:
Ensure that the target machine is configured for Wake-on-LAN:
- BIOS/UEFI Settings: In the BIOS or UEFI firmware settings of the target machine, enable Wake-on-LAN or a similar option.
- Operating System Settings: Ensure that Wake-on-LAN is enabled in the network adapter properties of the target machine's operating system.
Note:
- The machine used to execute this Wake-on-LAN script for remote wake-up commands must be connected to the same local area network (LAN) as the target machines. Additionally, it should remain powered on to ensure continuous availability for initiating wake-up signals.
